The holidays are over and winter is here (sort of) in Northeastern PA’s Pocono Mountains. It’s a fine time for house hunting in the Poconos because the summer crowds have thinned out somewhat. We are currently a little low on snow (actually, we don’t have any….maybe this post will jinx that status and bring on some wonderful white fluff!) Ski Big Bear at Masthope is making snow daily so there will still be winter adventures to be had.

Friday Jan 13, 2023 – Mini Golf Day, The Wake Zone. Every Friday starting at 11:00 a.m. is Mini-Golf day at The Wake Zone Indoor Golf & Taproom by Lake Wallenpaupack. Try out the amazing indoor golf simulator. Psst…there’s more to do than just indoor golf; there’s a selection of other games and amazing food (including soft drinks for the kids and craft beer for the adults, from the Wallenpaupack Brewery)! Saturday Jan 14, 2023, 9:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. – PA Defensive Carry Course. Do you want to better understand the weapons carry and self-defense laws of Pennsylvania? How about properly and safely carrying a weapon on your person? This course taught by Focused Fire Training will cover: Pennsylvania laws on use of force and self-defense, safe handling, tactics, and more. Saturday Jan 14, 2023, 1:00 PM – The Craft Room Lions Fundraiser Paint & Sip. This adorable paint and sip is all heart and is almost sold out so be sure to register ASAP. Cost is $40.
