Looking for something different to do this weekend in the greater Poconos region? Here are a few fun activities to consider. Some are in nearby Lackawanna and Monroe County; others are in Wayne County near White Mills and Beach Lake.

Winter Wine Event Scranton Aquarium

Beach Lake is a small borough in Wayne County. It is located in the northeastern PA and is known for its proximity to the Delaware River and the many recreational opportunities it offers, such as fishing and boating. The area is also home to the Upper Delaware Scenic and Recreational River. The cost of living in Beach Lake is generally considered to be lower than in larger cities, but the availability of local jobs are limited. The population is around 600 people. Overall it’s a peaceful and quiet area with a strong sense of community.

Lake Wallenpaupack is approximately a half hour away, as is skiing at Big Bear @ Masthope Mountain.
