What’s Cookin’ in Northeastern PA This Weekend?

First up, head to Montage Mountain for the Mountainfest and 93.3 WMMR Cardboard Classic, where you can watch hilarious cardboard sleds crash and burn while enjoying live music from top-charting bands Everclear, Lit, and Fuel. And don’t miss the fireworks show on Saturday night! For something a little more low-key, check out Scranton’s First Friday, a celebration of local art and music that kicks off this weekend. Or, lace up your skates and head to Revolution Ice Centre for Cosmic Skate, a fun and unique way to spend time with family and friends.
If you’re a foodie, you won’t want to miss Saturday’s Main St Farmers Market at the Cooperage in Honesdale, where you can enjoy farm-to-table eats and support local farmers and artisans. Also on Saturday, meet a feisty Celtic Princess at the Milford Theater (and see the wonderful Disney classic, Brave, too!) Thinking about some home improvements this year? Make your way to Kalahari in Pocono Manor for the annual Greater Pocono Home & Outdoor Living show on Saturday and Sunday. This event spans two days and combines Preston & Steve’s Annual Cardboard Classic (March 3 at 10 am) and Mountainfest End of Season Concert for a winter festival. Scranton for First Friday | Lackawanna Ave. Scranton, PA | March 3, 2023, 5-9 pm
Saturday, March 3, 2023, is the official Kick-off for First Friday in Scranton! Join in for the start of the season of spotlighting area artists and performers. Additionally, First Friday showcases some of the city’s most popular cafes and restaurants. You can explore all the venues at your leisure. A trolley service is available along the route. Through the month of March, enjoy COSMIC SKATING! Take your friends and family, or plan a fun and unique date night. While you hang out and get your skating groove on, you may even see one of the WBS Knights since this is where they train. Please arrive 30 minutes before your skate time to get your skates.

The Cooperage Project hosts the Main Street Farmers Market in Honesdale every Saturday.
