Finding the Best Agent to Sell Your Lake Wallenpaupack Home

Not all agents work the same way, even within the same brokerage (we are all independent contractors, after all…with our own skillsets, experience, and educational levels). You could contact five different Keller Williams agents, and find that each agent has different strengths, marketing plans, and experience. This holds true for any agent in any brokerage. Look beyond the brokerage and focus on the actual agent.

An important attribute of a competent agent for your is that they are well connected to the modern real estate industry and current trends. They should know the Lake Wallenpaupack, Lake Ariel, and other local real estate market stats. They should be able to provide information on past sales and current listings. They should understand and have a strong knowledge of the various homeowner associations like The Hideout, Hemlock Farms, Wallenpaupack Lake Estates, Tanglwood, Masthope…they should be able to describe how these communities compare to one another. They should be able to tell why it’s an advantage for your home to be in your location over all the others.

A competent real estate agent will have a professional home marketing plan, and provide at least 4 solid references. In addition, you also want to look for an assertive, but not overbearing Realtor. Find one that best understands your needs and real estate goals.

Always go with a local agent when selling your home in Northeastern PA. We locals can better serve your needs versus an agent from outside of the area, because we are more familiar with the local market conditions, local prices, and what’s hot or not in Wayne and Pike County. Sometimes when I see local homes listed by out-of-the-area agents, I cringe…because sometimes key information is either missing or incorrect on the multiple list service (which feeds Zillow, Realtor.com, and all the major real estate portals.)

I am always happy to work with agents from outside the local area on a referral basis. This is a win-win for everyone. The most important part of the process is that you, the homeowner receive the best and most competent service possible.
