Fall is in full swing, the foliage is peaking with beautiful color, and it’s a glorious time to experience “Lake Living PA” and visit the Lake Wally, Lake Ariel, Hawley, and Lackawaxen areas of the Pocono Mountains! Oh no…boating season is almost over for many…but never fear! If you’re wondering what else to do this weekend, wonder no more.
- Black Bear Film Festival, Milford PA. Dates: October 14-16, 2022. The Black Bear Film Festival is a non-profit organization dedicated to building community through film. Based in Milford, Pennsylvania, the festival organizers have set out to to entertain, educate and inspire our region with great indie film events which include screenings, salons and workshops. While the Gala Dinner and All Access Passes are sold out, there is still plenty to enjoy.

- SPOOKY GHOST TOURS in Honesdale PA. Dates: October 14 & 15, 2022. 5:00-9:00. Tickets must be purchased in advance. Adults: $18, Children: $13.
If you missed it last week, you have another chance to take a 30 minute candlelight walking tour of the quaint and historic (and maybe haunted) town of Honesdale.Meet up at Central Park for a stroll through streets where folklore meets history and learn about people and stories seldom whispered about. Your tour guide will spin talks of Honesdale’s haunted buildings, eerie alleys, and spirts that roam the night!
- Friday Night Movie Night At The Carousel, Beach Lake PA. Oct 14, 2022 7:00 pm. Cost: $2.00 per person.
Dress up in costume, bring your lawn chair and blanket and come out and watch Hocus Pocus with us under the stars!! Fun for the whole family, including the doggo! The Carousel Dairy Bar & Cafe is open year-round and features lots of family fun, including a corn maze, mini-golf, go-karts, and more.
Located on Route 652 in Beach Lake, it’s close to Honesdale, historic Narrowsburg NY, Hawley, and Lackawaxen.
- Signs of Fall Hike, Dingmans Ferry PA. Saturday, Oct 15 1pm – 5pm. Cost: $5 per person.
Take a hike with Pocono Environmental Educational Center (PEEC) and discover the science behind the wonderful season of fall. Discuss changing animal behavior, why leaves change color, and why it’s the best season to be out and about!
PEEC is a non-profit organization dedicated to providing educational opportunities to Pike County and surrounding communities. With 6 hiking trails, weekend educational programs, and summer camp, PEEC is a great place for nature lovers of all ages.
- Annual Arts & Crafts Fair, Western Wayne Middle School, Lake Ariel PA. Sat Oct 15. 10am – 4pm. Admission: $3.00 per person.
The annual Arts & Crafts Fair held at Western Wayne Middle School in Lake Ariel is an amazing event featuring over 100 vendors. All proceeds benefit the Marching Band and Color Guard.
There will be a bake sale, basket raffles, jewelry, clothing, art, handcrafted items, housewares, Kids Corner, and more!
