Karen RiceSpecialist in Lake Homes Real Estate
Hello friend! My name is Karen Rice, and I’m a REALTOR® with Keller Williams Real Estate. My sidekicks Daphne & Trixie and I are thrilled that you’ve stopped by LakeLivingPA.com to start the search for your lake house in the gorgeous Lake Wallenpaupack region of PA. Having grown up in the lake region and lived here my entire life, I’m your go-to gal for all your real estate needs, whether you’re a first-time homebuyer or a seasoned pro.
When it comes to real estate listings and homes for sale, you’ll find everything from cozy mountain properties to stunning lakefront homes. Plus, you can easily search for real estate by location, price, and type to find the perfect fit for you and your family.
Now, about Lake Wallenpaupack. It’s the crown jewel of Northeastern Pennsylvania, with 52 miles of shoreline, perfect for fishing, boating, and all kinds of water sports. As the largest lake in Northeastern PA and the third largest artificial lake in the state, it’s a significant draw. Hey, it was even featured on an episode of The Office (although somewhat inaccurately.) Trust me, Lake Wally is not just a place to visit; it’s a way of life.
But guess what? Lake Wallenpaupack is not the only lake in the neighborhood! Pike County and Wayne County are blessed with many lakes perfect for fishing, swimming, and all kinds of water fun. So, if you’re a lake lover looking for your own little slice of paradise, there are plenty of options to choose from. Who knows, you might find a hidden gem that steals your heart and makes you forget all about Lake Wallenpaupack! (Okay, that might be a stretch, but you get the point.)
Some of the towns that will pop up in your search may have quirky names that leave you scratching your head. Some are easy…like Hawley, Honesdale, Lakeville, Lake Ariel, Milford, Tafton, and Greentown. That said, Lackawaxen, Paupack, Newfoundland, and Shohola may be a bit more of a challenge. Don’t worry; you’ll soon learn how to pronounce them! Besides the lakes, you will find a mix of antique shops, gift shops, restaurants, and art galleries. Thanks to the thousands of acres of state forest and game lands, you will find even more trees, trails, waterfalls, and streams.
But here’s the crucial thing: I know buying a home can be intimidating, especially in an area that may be new to you. My site contains information about the entire Lake Wallenpaupack region to help you become more familiar with the area. Be sure to check out my Lake Living PA Blog, which features local events in Pike, Wayne, and nearby counties, as well as smart insider tips and local real estate market trends.
As your experienced client advocate, I’m here to make the home-buying or selling process as smooth and stress-free as possible. I thoroughly know the local real estate market and will be your guide each step of the way, from beginning to end. Once you’re all settled in, I can connect you with trusted local service providers to help you get the most out of your new lake home.
So come in, explore a bit, and get to know Lake Wallenpaupack and the region beyond. You won’t regret it.
